Paradigm Shifts in LOs LO25128

At,

I enjoyed your wonderful e-mail on "Paradigm Shifts". My organization has
experiences a recent "Paradigm lost" (we were sold to a smaller
organization) and many of the members are indeed disillusioned to say the
least. The current lower "stable domain" in which we are operating
reminds us where we were 10 years ago.

I had intuitively been advising patience so that we may wait to go back
through the higher "shift" but now I am not sure if a similar path can be
taken. Our particular site was an industry leader in many ways but the
entire industry itself is mostly back in a less mature paradigm... along
with our new owner. Influence is difficult since our very language is so
different. Our new owners come from the linear "accounting" paradigm and
we were into complexity modeling and coevoltion... treating people as
"potential" and management's job was one of fostering and nurturing
personal growth and creating a compelling "vision field of purpose".

Now our performance is suffering as we unsuccessfully try to be both
cultures at one time. I am finding that performance is better even a
lower level if it is consistently understood. Straddling the line so to
speak... does not work!

Any advice on how to keep our "higher" members on board? How do we foster
growth when everyone sees the "paradigm loss" as decline?
