"This list has given me a chance to become connected and learn. But most
of all, I can see learning from a authentic, rather than applied level. No
one is telling me to increase profits, cut costs or improve measures with
what I have learned, nor is this list limited to that direction."

Thanks Charlie for your great post! I really enjoyed reading it! :-)

My approach to this list was quite similar as yours in some aspects.

I also laid low for a couple of days, checked things out, and then got
impatient and dove head first (as usual). After a couple of months I felt
quite comfortable that I could post any question/thought and someone,
somewhere would answer. And where the answers were coming from were just
as interesting as the answers to the questions! I am fascinated about the
people on this list, where they are from, who they are, what they think,
etc.

So although I wont be as eloquent as others, here is what I think about
this LO.

This is a great medium for which to learn about LOs, OL and learning in
general. We have 2000 people from whom we will probably find all the
answers to our questions, the only limitation being language, time and
technology. LO members come from a range of perspectives, cultures,
backgrounds and professions. Yet we all believe and have an interest in
learning, which is a value that is allowed to function unfettered.

As such, I would say that within this LO, there can be found an example of
what it is that sets learning organizations apart from any other
organization- its culture.

Thanks!
