I can't resist adding my take on this ineluctable dichotomy.
Unfortunately, in corporate life that is, visions are left to people who
are normally blind to realities around them, who then create missions for
people who are not given the power or authority to achieve them.
Remember the Tao. Those that want to define their visions don't have any.
