Replying to LO27593 --
Dear Janis: I guess my first question would be the reasons for
establishing a peer review system, I'm assuming in addition to whatever
other professional evaluation process exists. Was there a particular
issue or situation that led to this idea? In my experience with faculty
evaluation, faculty's understanding -- and acceptance -- of the purpose of
the process is crucial. In this respect, faculty are probably no
different than any other employee at the receiving end of an evaluation.
