From: Leung Wai King, Mosquito (MGT) (waiking@baf.msmail.cuhk.edu.hk)
Date: 02/17/02

The Asia Pacific Journal of Management is pleased to invite submissions
for its special issue on "Corporate Crisis and Turnaround in Asia." This
special issue is broadly directed at the theme of firm restructuring and
turnaround in the industrializing Asian economies, particularly after the
major economic crisis of the late 1990s. It seeks to encourage both
empirical and theoretical research that advances our understanding, tests
existing theoretical models or builds new ones, and contests underlying
assumptions of the factors determining success or failure in a crisis and
turnaround situation in Asia.

The deadline for receipt of manuscripts is August 1, 2002. Papers will be
double blind peer reviewed and initial decisions will be made by October
30, 2002. Authors will be asked to present their work during the APJM
Corporate Crisis and Turnaround in Asia conference in Bangkok, Thailand,
December 10-11, 2002. Invited authors will be provided with board and
hotel lodging for the two days of the conference. This conference will
precede the 2002 Asia Academy of Management meeting which will be held in
Bangkok from 12 to 14 December.
