Dear All:

Where can I find the following Einstein quote?

'The problems that exist in the world cannot be solved by the level of
thinking that created them.'

It's very much appreciated.

[Host's Note: This has long been one of my favorite quotes, but I'm never
sure of having it right... I've never been able to find an authoritative
citation. Here are some of the versions one can easily find in Google:

 - The problems that exist in the world today cannot be solved by the
level of thinking that created them.

 - The significant problems we face today cannot be solved at the same
level of thinking we were at when we created them.

 - The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of
thinking we were at when we created them.

 - Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created
them.

 - Problems cannot be solved at the same level of consciousness that
created them

 - A problem cannot be solved from the same thinking that created it

 - The world we have created today has problems which cannot be solved by
thinking the way that we thought when we created them

 - The world we have created today has problems that cannot be solved by
thinking the way we thought when we created them.

 - The world we have created today as a result of our thinking thus far
has problems which cannot be solved by thinking the way we thought when we
created them

 - "The significant problems we face today cannot be solved at the same
level of thinking we were at when we created them." -- Graduate
Commencement, June 15, 2000 Remarks Delivered by Cristina González Dean of
Graduate Studies, UC Davis (Perhaps the good Dean has assistants to check
the quote.)

 - "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of
thinking we were at when we created them." Statement of James P. Bagian,
M.D., P.E. Director, National Center for Patient Safety Veterans Health
Administration Department of Veterans' Affairs Regarding "Patient Safety -
What Is The Role of Congress?" Before the Committee on Health, Education,
Labor, and Pensions U. S. Senate May 24, 2001
