The 6th World Congress on Intellectual Capital and Innovation (in
conjunction with the 24th McMaster Business Conference and the 4th World
Congress on E-Business) is sponsored by the Management of Innovation and
New Technology (MINT) Research Centre at McMaster University (widely
recognized as Canada's most innovative university!). This event will be
held January 15-17, 2003 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

The World Congress on Intellectual Capital and Innovation is recognized
globally as the largest and most prestigious conference of its kind. It
brings both academic researchers and professional practitioners together
to present, discuss and review the latest issues and trends in the areas
of intellectual capital, innovation, knowledge management, new technology,
intangible assets, human capital and organizational learning. Last year's
conference attracted 425 delegates from 35 countries. The event was
covered by numerous newspapers, TV and magazine media outlets from over 10
countries.

The first five congresses in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002 attracted
over 2,000 delegates (practitioners, academics and students) from over 40
countries. This year we are planning an even better event which will
include a CKO forum, KM technology expo, a PhD recruiting fair, a
knowledge café, and three special themed tracks including: 1)
intellectual capital in government and not-for-profit organizations; 2)
managing relationship and reputation capital, and 3) the role,
relationship and impact of vision and mission statements in enhancing an
organization's intellectual capital.

Papers can be conceptual, theoretical, empirical, experimental, or case
studies and will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in
full or in abstract form in a CD of proceedings. Prizes will be awarded
for the best papers. Selected papers will be published in a Special Issue
of the Journal of Intellectual Capital (Editor: Rory L. Chase) See here:
