Greetings dear Sadrollah,

I do not mind that you shout your insight with capital letters because
it is worth all the shouting.

Then i noticed the following

>manager,financial,commercial,and manpower planning
>national petrochemical company
>tehran,iran

I think this is the first ever contribution on this list from Iran. It has
excited me very much. You are very welcome and we will appreciate further
contributions from you. What i know of modern Iran, its culture and
especially its education is very little. I have read a lot about ancient
Persia while studying the history of certain topics.

I also noticed that you work for a national petrochemical company. We also
had a similar company in South Africa, but based on coal. The name was the
acronym SASOL. Eventually it became privatised, but the name is still the
same. It is the biggest of its kind (i.e. coal based) in the world. You
can read more about its history at

This made me wonder. How much have Iran invested in its own
petrochemical industry rather than exporting crude oil and importing
chemicals refined and synthesised from it? I did a search with Google
and got hold of the site
It answered a lot of my questions on the company itself. But i could find
nothing on how the company itself contributed directly to the upliftment
of the Iranean nation and protection of the environment. So i searched
some more and got hold of the following

Johannesburg is here in South Africa and about 60km south of Pretoria. The
organisers of the world summit on sustainable development are becoming
worried that they have organised for too many delegates. They were very
happy when the number of registrations hit the 20 000 mark. They expected
the stream of delegates to increase since Monday, but it merely dripped so
far. Well, we will just have to wait and see.

I myself have tried several times to get hold of the document
"A Framework for Action on Energy" at
http://www.johannesburgsummit.org/html/documents/summit_docs/wehab_papers/weha
b_energy.pdf
but the website seems to have problems here. It just stops at page 1.
However, in the many other documents which I have browsed through,
I could not find anyone in the spirit of
"In order to survive, we will have to ......."

I wonder how many people realise just how "serious" the position of
humankind has become. What I do know from the many press and TV reports is
that many people make a fine income with this "serious", but that they are
otherwise not serious about this "serious".

With care and best wishes
