Replying to LO29157 --

Phillip, I understand where you are coming from, and I agree there are
plenty of middle managers ready take advantage of any new 'fad', to serve
their own purposes.

I am not so cynical however, and believe there is a major change in minset
occurring since the development of Australian Standard AS4360-Risk
Management. The change is irreversible, and underscores managers' 'duty
of care'. The manipulative and generally unscrupulous manager now has to
watch his P's and Q's, as legislation becomes performance based, rather
than prescriptive.

I suggest that any KM standard which is developed on a consensus basis,
will stand and be fully implemented.

Best Regards,
Alan Cotterell
