You've read nothing yet, dear reader. Dear At, Anne,
You wrote:

Is this suspiction true? How can you know for certain that it is true?
How do you behave, how do you feel when you're having this thought, this
idea? (Or how do you behave when this idea has you?) Is there one peaceful
reason to keep this thought? And now try the reversals of the thought.
Although i'm the first to admit that words (or rituals, or signs for that
matter) themselves cannot change anything - there are no magic words, no
holy books, no sacred songs as such - they can contribute to and / or
trigger any emergence. There is no "sesame open" for a transformation of a
specific kind. Whisfull thinking, perhaps. However "every sign is a
request for compliance" so in every situations (back ground) an object (or
person) with a certain objective of focus might behave in an new, better
and improved situation (fore ground). Or, in other words, informing
(changing information) might be the key that releases the tensions
building up in change processes. As a request, though, not as a command,
wish or prayer. Praying, like whishing and commanding does help,
sometimes. And i do notice a certain change in me when repeating mantra's.
Om Mani Padme Hum. What supported me most was contemplating my thoughts
using the questions posed above.
I sympathize with you. We all have thoughts and emotions like:
- "I feel incapable of tricking an emergent transformation with
information"
- "I long for information to do the trick of an emergent transformation"
- "There should be information to transform tha, them, me"
- "I'm sad that i cannot recognize an emergence or information that
transforms me"
- "Please, let information or transformation take care of itself (or of
me)"
So it goes. You cannot fight reality and expect to win.
Kind recards,
Jan Lelie
(Question borrowed from the work of Byron Katie: www.thework.org ), that
would be a reference too.
