The 25th McMaster World Congress is jointly sponsored by the Management of
Innovation and New Technology (MINT) Research Centre, the McMaster
eBusiness Research Centre (MeRC), and The Directors College* at McMaster
University, widely recognized as Canada^Òs most innovative university.
This event will be held January 14-16, 2004 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

This is Canada's 1st Global Conference to focus on board, director, and
management issues surrounding corporate governance. It will bring both
academic researchers, governance professionals and practitioners together
to present, discuss and review the latest issues, trends and challenges.
In doing so, all strategic and functional business areas, issues and
implications will be considered.

Last year's conference attracted 825 attendees from 35 countries. In
recent years, the event has been covered by newspapers, TV and magazine
media outlets from over 10 countries. This year, the topics to be
discussed include: transparency in governance; governance structures;
corporate investment and disclosure; shareholder and stakeholder
relations; accountability; privacy and security; executive and board
compensation; board committees (roles and responsibilities); director
independence; effective board management relations; board recruitment; the
role of the board chair (or 'lead director'); proxy voting; stock options;
etc.

Papers, which need not be limited to the above special themes, can be
conceptual, theoretical, empirical, experimental, or case studies. A
double-blind peer-review by at least two experts of the program committee
will follow. Accepted papers will be published in full or in abstract
form in a CD of proceedings. Prizes will be awarded for the best papers.

Selected papers will be published in a special issue, a refereed journal, or
book.

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION CRITERIA:
Submitted papers must be in English, 6000 words maximum and in Word format.
Manuscripts should be single spaced and should include, in the following
order: cover sheet, title (as short as possible), abstract (100-150 words),
keywords (up to 10 words or phrases), introduction, text, acknowledgements,
references and notes, tables, and figures. Full submission details are
