Dear Ed, reader,

So? I assume there is no intentionality in nature, in evolution. Ours
is a world full of unintentional change - so there is no need to
apologize for the inconvenience. One of our innovations - as a
species- is the developement of intentional choice: we needed this for
our survival in groups. Group life requires an idea of intentionality.
Then we projected this idea on the world, first on sun, moon, stars
and thunderstorms, now somewhat more sophisticated on a supposed
external beings or beings. But - as i said - i do not beleive this
kind of intentionality exists outside our own being. So it is possible
that somebody has the intention of destroying machines through
virusses, but there was no intention in the systems design for
virusses.

Later more,
regards,

Jan
