Dear Colleagues

Under the overall theme "People, Knowledge and Technology: What Have
We Learnt So Far?" the International Conference on Knowledge
Management 2004 will bring together academicians, developers, and
practitioners in the areas of knowledge management and information
processing. The aim of ICKM'04 is to serve as a unique forum to
present research work as well as to exchange research ideas, practical
applications, and best practices (see www.ickm2004.org
<http://www.ickm2004.org/> for more details).

We are particularly glad to have secured the support of eminent KM
scholars as keynote speakers for each of the five conference subthemes
(see www.ickm2004.org/topics/index.html#keynote for more biographical
details on the keynote speakers):

Dave Snowden on The Future of KM - 13 December AM

Max Boisot on Culture and Communication in KM - 13 December PM

Rob Cross on Social and Value Networks in KM - 14 December AM

Josef Hofer-Alfeis on Innovation and IP Creation - 14 December PM

David Weinberger on Technology, Systems & Metadata in KM - 15 December
AM

(Open space knowledge sharing and learning - 15 December PM)

Academic as well as practice-oriented authors are invited to submit
original and unpublished work on all aspects of information and
knowledge management. For detailed submission guidelines, please visit
the conference website at www.ickm2004.org/submission/guidelines.html.

The deadline for full paper submissions is June 30, 2004.

All papers accepted for presentation will be included in conference
proceedings published by World Scientific. Selected papers will be
published in full length in a special issue of the Journal of
Information & Knowledge Management
(www.worldscinet.com/jikm/jikm.shtml).

Finally, please do forward this call for papers to colleagues who you
think would be interested in participating in ICKM2004.
