I have found Gary Hamel's Strategy as Revolution (Harvard Business Review,
July/August, 1996) very helpful.
You also might try three recent articles either by or interviews with
Peter Drucker. They are "My Life as a Knowledge Worker" (Inc., Feb.97);
Seeing Things As They Really Are" (Forbes, March 10, 1997); "The
Relentless Contrarian" (WIRED, August 1996).
Also Edgar Schein's "Three Cultures of Management: The Key to
Organizational Learning" (Sloan Management Review, Fall 1996).
And some of the essays in "The Leader of the Future" (Jossey-Bass, 1996)
might be helpful. There is a companion volume on The Organization of the
Future which I haven't read, but should be of the same quality.
