is managing sameness. The feeling and perceiving voices are not just
silent at the top - they are non existant."

I don't think I understand Bill's reference to "not managing diversity,
....managing sameness". My mental model of diversity mangement is
bringing "feeling and perceiving voices" to managers throughout the
organization. I see management in most of our organizations as very able
to manage sameness, to the extent that the management team begins to look
and sound very much the same. Am I missing something developed earlier in
this thread?
