Replying to LO13461 --

Dear Mnr AM de Lange,

Thank you for sharing the richness embodied in the word "ubuntu." It
reminded me (not in any direct way, but through free association) of a
Spanish word my Cuban Abuela (grandmother) made reference to when
undertaking a particular task: do it with "ganas."

My vernacular translation of ganas would be: soulful desire, zest and
care when undertaking an activity.

peace,
Augustine
