Scott,

I have moved and taken a new job and haven't had much time to deal with
the list , but I keep coming back to the idea you posted on using the Star
Trek environment as a learning tool.

I would suggest a scenario of a severe fresh water shortage happening on
earth in the year 2020. Picard and the group could return to a starving,
warring planet and during the drama lead the diverse citizens of warring
factions to seeing the necessity and positive benefit of cooperation
versus competitiveness. Or possibly some multinational conglomerate
controlling the water supply from a vantage point like Alaska or
Minnesota.

It would raise people's environmental awareness right now and at the same
time serve the purpose of solving a problem.

sincerely,
Kevin Murphy
