Replying to LO14501 --

AME is The Association for Manufacturing Excellence. Our purpose is to
find and share "Pockets of Excellence".

We have members all over the world but most are in the US. Though I have
sought help form a member in Australia. Our annual conference is Austin
Texas this year and will have 20 or so Plant visits along with many
choices of seminars and lectures.

The organization was founded in 1984 when members of APICS realized there
was something new going on in management and could not get the APICS
organization to address the changes.

Our members come from many companies including Motorola, Hewlett Packard,
Harley Davidson, Bradley, Eaton , Honda. Oregon Cutting Systems,
Mitsubishi and more really good ones.

If you want to know more send an e-mail to JWEITZ1@AOL.COM and ask for a
membership packet to be sent to your address.

It is 125/year. There is tremendous value if the local region is active.
They can offer low cost programs and exchanges.
