>One of my clients needs to roll-out a new initiative to a national
>organization of 14,000 people and is looking for a "model" or example of
>how to do this. Of course <she will use various standard channels, but
>we thought some of you might have <some innovative ideas or experiences
>to share.

Initiatives for rolling-out change.

1. The U.S. Post Office Model: Paint the message on the backs of 14,000
turtles and release them to spread the word.

2. The Bureaucratic Budget Model: Take last year's changes and add 10%.

3. The Microsoft Model: Wait for a Window of opportunity.

4. The Dow-Corning Model: Just let it leak out.

5. The Amtrak Model: Devise a complex multi-track system and make an
arbitrary schedule.

6. The UPS Strike Model: Use no particular delivery method at all.

7. The Federal Reserve Model: Have Alan Greenspan mutter something obscure
about it in public and let mass hysteria do the rest.
