Simplistic definitions make for good discussion Ann. For instance, your
comment made me wonder about the person (supervisor? manager? owner?
boss? teacher? bureaucrat? coach? monarch? elected official?) who
insists that someone's job depends on how much they can lift or how fast
they can turn a wrench, and ignores whether or not they can learn to do
the job better. This is not someone whose own life revolves around what
they know or can learn. Clearly then, a person who recognizes knowledge
workers must first be a knowledge worker themselves.
