The Center for Workforce Development at Education Development Center
Inc. is looking for a Newton-based full time project director for a
3.2 million dollar research and implementation project designed to
help member states produce a high performance workforce. This will be
done by developing recommendations based on the Teaching Firm research
on informal learning in the workplace. The Project Director will work
closely with the workforce development boards of six partner states,
designing and conducting presentations, trainings, and workshops in
the participating states. The Director will have expertise in employee
training programs, human resource issues, and learning styles and
effectiveness. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in
project planning and management; have authority and expertise in both
public policy and the private sector, and understand the environments
in which both states and firms operate. The ideal candidate would
also have experience in raising sizable funds from foundations and
other sources.
