I've enjoyed the discussion about employee rankin/rating/triage systems.
I share the thinking that many seem to have -- poor managers can make them
disasters, and good managers can make even a poor system work reasonably
well.
At the risk of vastly oversimplifying what has been a fascinating thread,
I'd like to share a quote from that eminent rock 'n' roll philosopher, Ani
DiFranco, who states:
"Any tool is a weapon if you use it right"
