Sian--

one of the great "role-playing" games developers in the world is Wizards
of the Coast (Magic: the gathering, among others). I know that recently
they developed a Dilbert card-game (last year or so). It's probably one
of the more ruthless card games I've ever seen--and accurately depicts the
corporate world, at least in the minds of some of those who've played it.
I found it difficult because it's so negative--but the black humor in the
role-relationships among the characters in the game reflects the reality
of the cubicles and command-control relationships. It also reminded me
that games reflect life--not the other way around. Now this is not a
sophisticated tool such as the one you've described--but it's
sophistication might be found in the metaphors used to develop it.
