Interesting question. I think the answer is a very qualified yes, as
in a slight trend in that direction. It's one reason, actually, why
I've moved into the area of cooperative communication--because of the
last part of your question -- "where people understand what needs to
be done".
The kind of shift (which will take decades) is going to require a
different form and skill in communicating within organizations, both
individually and corporately, I would guess.
