Hello to all!

Yes I am still here, havent made comment for awhile on here but I have
been watching. To tell you the truth I have been diligently working on an
article for a virtual conference called Leadership In Management hosted
by MCB University Press in England.

The article (Track 5B) is about new ways of teaching leadership. Well
that is the short of it. Actually I think the article is very ambitious
because in it I tried to discuss the industrial leadership models as
compared to postindustrial models and their congruity with the learning
organization. I also discuss an integrated model called collaborative
leadership, transforming power, the basics of cognition, microworlds and
simulations, single loop and double loop learning, and the difference
between using case studies and simulations to teach leadership.

See I said it was pretty ambitious. What I have tried to do is make a
case for a more systems dynamics approach for making the learning
organization a reality. While much has been written about learning,
leadership and the learning organization, I believe that by giving people
an opportunity to be part of a learning or collaborative leadership
experience in as realistic an environment as possible, has the greatest
potential for gaining constituency for and acceptance of collaborative
leadership and the learning organization. (sorry for the run-on sentence)

It is also a summation of what I have tried to say on this list serve and
I hope I might invite all who read this to participate by going to the
website and posting messages to it. There are 8 other papers on
leadership that present some unique perspectives as well.

The web site is: www.mcb.co.uk/services/conferen/sept98/lim/

So thank you for the time to read this, I appreciate it and please stop by
register your name on the delegates list and post a message.

For your information, many of the postings will result in an email to the
panel members and we will know then to answer your questions and comments.

Thanks Again for your time and patience in reading this post.
