Er, I'm confused. You've offered a number of statements that strongly
endorse what I was saying: natural selection is not the only force of
evolution.

You seem to be assuming that I am using "evolution" to mean only "natural
selection," but that's exactly what I'm arguing against.

So, we agree -- evolution is not a purely competitive process. Sorry,
hard-core Darwinists. (To be fair to Charles D., he never argued that
natural selection would be the only evolutionary force, although he
thought any others would be minor in comparison.)
