I think Richard asks a very good question. What's "touchy-feely"?

I think it is almost the American way to limit ourselves by not talking
about things that make us uncomfortable, like our feelings or anything
emotional. A number of people I have consulted avoid the following
subjects because they are "touchy-feely"
1. Reflection
2. Critical Thinking
3. Lessons Learned
4. Human Rights

Sometimes it seems to me that we would just as soon proceed without
talking at all! But this can't be pro-learning?

I would love to hear comments from our international audience.
