Replying to LO22191 --

AS to the complexities of the contemporary and judging. Good and bad are
easy to distinguish in the midst. Rewriting history is not a good thing.
While people may have remarked that he (Hitler)had accomplished something
withn a narrow contextual scope, I really don't think the leaders of 1936
- 1945 had any respect. Respect is a very meaningful word. It is much like
the current US administration. Clinton "seems" to engender resect from
other national and international leadership, however, the goodness and
effectiveness of leadership is a different story. I am not a historin, but
I seem to reacll that even Hitler's seat to power was achieved through
ill-gained means and pure happenstance. I can recognize the abilities of
an indivdual in technical acomplishments without associating those with
leadership just because the individual is in a postion of leadership.
