Rosanne a word of caution when looking at spatial abilities and
investigating individual differences based on the gender variable. Also a
reference on a good book on visual information processing.

Very challenging to review research in this area. There is a great deal on
the topic and much debate.

The book is "Image and Brain" by Steven Kosslyn...would be a challenging
read for someone outside of the brain sciences..but a look through can
give you an idea of the depth that visual information processing is
investigated.
