Dear LOers

I am writing a paper about the relationship between basic scientific
research and commercial research and development intended to lead to
product development.

I wonder if anyone has done any work with academic organizations trying to
get them to work more productively with commercial organizations by
applying a systems approach? Or vice versa?

Any references or information gratefully received.
