Susan's suggestion:

That would usually work for me, but not always. What if, in addition to
our normal posts, we regularly posted our personal thoughts on email
style, length, content, etc.? Would it stifle opposing thought? Would it
improve feedback? Would it turn off readers? How would it make the
system change?
