AM de Lange's Donkey Droppings Post LO26879

From: LJ Stevens (maverick@pinn.net)
Date: 06/24/01

Many, many moons ago At de Lange posted an item about encountering a long
trail of evenly spaced donkey droppings in the road while on a trip. The
gist of it was that the lead donkey led only so long as it had droppings
to drop. When the droppings ran out the donkey stopped, and nothing would
make it move forward except to be replaced by another donkey with fresh
droppings. Which likewise led until it too was droppingless.

I laughed until I cried over that post. It is absolutely, positively my
ALL time favorite post on any email list. Unfortunately, a computer crash
dropped it onto the cyber-superhighway. I would appreciate it if someone
could post it to me off list at: larry@metanoic.org. Thanks.
