Dear Barry and Andrew,

I think that in the 'organizational learning' field, there are many
similar cases of 'capability without character'.

For example, GM v NBC (1993) cited in Organizational Learning Capacity(
OUP 1999) and one financial team of DuPont to make a major shareholder to
trade his stocks in billions without tax( legally) in a landmark speed or
cycle time.

They might be local 'optimal or innovative' but for me, might be without
style at least.
