What is wisdom? LO28465

Replying to LO28457 --

I suspect wisdom is the ability to know when to keep one's opinions to one's self. I certainly don't have it. The whole thing seems to depend on values. Making ethical (wise) decisions depends on our personal values whether derived from religous teachings and customs (morals), or based on risk perceptions from our scientific background. We make value
judgements every day, we need to see that the poor or weak úre not
further disadvantaged by them.

Best Regards, Alan Cotterell
