[Host's Note: Some time ago, we sought answers to this question "Why a
learning organization?" and posted an anonymous composite on the web site.
Further contributions are invited. Here is one which I'm posting

As we develop a learning organization we connect with people. The whole
purpose of our existance is to connect with people. As we share with
others our unique gifts, we can help each other . If we can care enough
about others, there is hope for a better world. I think we can share
ways that we can break out of the common mold of what life is suppossed to
be like and make it a better world, as we connect to other people and
discuss what it means to be human. Where are we heading as individuals,
and how can we be more loving . What stops us from being all that we can
be. What changes are nescessary for changing the problems we see around
us daily. It seems that it begins with changing ourselves. We can't
really change things , until we are changed. What do we need to learn?
It seems that our greatest need is to learn to love . It seems that that
is extremely difficult for our species, but as we learn to trust in a
power higher than ourselfs. As we learn to trust this higher power, we
will find freedom. Jesus taught us that "you shall know the truth and the
truth shall set you free" This is not politcally correct . How can
people who have much learn to reach out to those in the world who have
little. We are often very comfortable and we don't really want to give up
our comfort. But it seems that there is sometimes not a lot of inner
peace when we are only seeking our own comfort. It is late and my son
said this is poorly written as I said "connected to people " Oh well
maybe in a learning organization I will learn how to write right!?
