Dear LO,
Last year I sent a picture of a rose to Dan Chay who put it up as a MSWord
style page, the image had under it words by Basho, the master poet of
Haiku. It is now nearly a year since the 11th September 2001. I kept the
rose that I took from the bush in our courtyard garden after At's
contribution. I believe that roses are special flowers, for a variety of
reasons;-)
I have kept the rose flower in the cradle of a birds nest, maybe a wren's.
The scent is now like a white wine left overnight in a glass. The colour
has faded to a dusty yellow. I have created another file, this time in
monotone, [which I am asking Rick to put up in the LO archive] and maybe
Rick, you can pass it on to Dan in the event Dan would like to put it next
to the yellow rose. If you wish can print it out onto fine quality paper,
it would sit well behind glass in a simple frame. Maybe you might feel
free of write something under it, or maybe you know a child who would like
to write some words under the rose...maybe you might share the words one
day.
[Host's Note: The image is at

As for me...I see angels arising...and I see a WORLD collapsing.
Love,
Andrew
