To share with you my observations in the same line as above,
on many well intended initiatives (e.g. Learning Organisation,
TQM, ReEngineering etc.). It is in the format of
Knowledge Object (see example in my homepage)
Fix: There is always this serious missing piece in any well
intended project involving people, i.e.. an important aspect of
human system. The project plan does not include relationship /
interaction / communication between the designers of the new system
(i.e. organisation management) and the personnel involved in the
system of operation. There is no mention (let alone genuine practice)
of guiding principles on the said relationship e.g. respect of human
being, love and care etc. (There is always a lot of emphasis on
policy, procedure, rule etc.)
Fix: A familiar organic organisation is the family entity.
Many broken family can be traced back to well intended plan on
the part of the parents, e.g. good intention and implementation
e.g. best school, tuition, pocket money, entertainment, material
needs satisfaction etc.
but serious lack in good relationship and bond between parents
and children.
Fix: If human system is taken seriously by organisation i.e.
applying universal principles to build good relationship,
teamwork, increasing every person capacity to learn, to tap each
and every one potentials towards self actualisation,
optimal organisation manning level is an
automatic outcome. Hence down-sizing needs not, and should not,
be the focus of the organisation.
Learning Organisation, as genuine practice, NOT program, is.
Just a Thought!
