Replying to LO17907 --

>From the perspective of someone who has done significant amounts of both
teaching and training, I think that it is a context issue. School systems
teach and business organizations train. Gifted teachers and Gifted
trainers both grab their students and make them enjoy the learning
process. Both processes can be used to teach skills and both processes can
be used to teach thinking. The problem is that those hiring for their
respective organizations do not necessarily see the transferable skills
that someone in one background can bring to the other. After 30 years of
"teaching" children and "training" adults I have come to see little
difference once you get past contemporary jargon.
