I have been lurking for a few months and have started to feel
appropriately guilty for being silent. However, now I feel that I can add
something meaningful to the dialogue.
I work in medical research and have occassionally supervised/trained other
lab personnel and post-docs. Recently, I found and am participating in an
online course covering "The Art of Strategy" by Sun Tzu. My 'surfing' led
me to your listserver.
My interest currently lies in questions concerning the dimensions of
leadership. A different specific question concern the 'assessment
insanity' that is currently ravaging school systems (My son is in an
advanced placement getting A's yet they didn't want to place him there
next year because he didn't take the test. Remarkably the test is given
twice a year in Oct and Mar at the schools. Unremarkably they told him he
could be in the classes next year at the end of Mar when testing was over.
Absolutely insane.)
I look forward to gaining further insights and resources through
participating here.
Thank you,
Chuck
