Greetings from Iceland, where I work as a schools adviser. I have just
joined the learning organisation list. Last year I completed a Diploma in
Management with Henley Management College in England, and in the unit
entitled "Managing People" I encountered the idea of the Learning
Organisation and applied it to the management of schools in this district
.

Right now I am preparing a course for school principals in the northwest
and west fjords of Iceland where we will look at some issues from Quality
management and working in teams. Does anyone have any comments,
references or ideas on "learning organisations" as applied to the
management of public schools?
