I would like to introduce myself. My name is Chris Hartman. I too am a
student in the MBA program at Lake Erie College in Ohio. The concept of a
learning organization was just introduced to us in the Systems Management
course that I am currently taking. I am totally fascinated by the concept
of a learning organization but have no experience per se with it in the
workplace. I am very curious about how an organization such as a major
utility company that has been in business for about 70 years, must follow
guidelines set by the PUCO (Public Utility Commision of Ohio), and has
mostly union employees can evolve into a learning organization. I am
looking forward to future dialog on this topic.
