Dear Car Dreamers

Maybe the monotony and special concentration of driving induces some level
of hypnosis that enables a different part of our minds to run free.

I used to drive to work and had similar experiences. Now I take the
train, and am able to read, but I can't really think, or rehearse
situations, or recycle conversations as I could when driving.
