Dear Winfried,
A ship does not have the capacity to ask that question. We do. Humans are
different in kind we have material existence, life, conciousness and self
awareness. There is an execellent discussion in "AGuide to the Perplexed"
by E F Schumacher of these different levels of being. He also argues that
small understanding of the higher things, like love(?), is worth much more
than vast understanding of lower material things.
