Replying to LO28226 --
Dear LOvers,
( ... no one dared to come up with the obvious, ha?).
Thank you All for teaching me so much. Thank you All for the unlimitted
compassion and extremd generousity that you continuously poured toward me
for two years ... till now.
Since I never introduced myself, this might be just the time to do it ...
properly :-):
I was born under the name Judith Kalman (female) 51 years ago (thank you
so much Andrew, for your wonderfull present that very day), into an
Hungarian, Jewish family.
This is IT - all the rest varies ... and varies ...
I consider myself a member of this list (beLOng) because during the last
two years I found in this list a community that I LOng LOnged to beLOng
to. (during that time I read much of the contributions, I wrote a few of
my own, I made close friends with some of the members, and became aquanted
with a few distinguished leaders in the community).
I have a request to put here ... I don't know how but I do know what my
request is ... so I'll "spitt it out" at once, and then write some
appologetic explanations (that's how it is :-)
I would ask you to teach me the New Testament.
oh .....
it's written !!!
piece of cake :-) ... there's still to push "send" ...
when I wrote "teach" I had something specific in mind:
actually I know that if I want to undertake learning the NT (is it ok?)
I'll have to make a reasonable committment ... let it thus be 5 hours
(half a day) weelky for four month (starting May 02).
in my close neighbourhood there's no resource to support such learning. I
have my own copy, but couldn't make myself just read it (that's how it is
:-)
if you (?) could be kind enough to pick up a chapter (start somewhere) and
tell us (?) what it says, then we (?) can discuss it's LO-relevance. if
only we could keep this discussion in an adequate time frame so everyone
can catch-up with the flow (well ... well ... it depends on the number of
active participants and the length of their contributions ... we could
give it a try - have a pilot :-).
we could make the following agreement (Gentlemen!):
end the discussion, pick up a new chapter, and re-start the walk after
four weeks or when the number of comments (e-mails) on a subject (chapter
in the NT) reaches 50. whatever comes first.
isn't it a nice game?
this is only a suggestion ... I'd love to hear your voices,
LOve,
Judy Tal
