Thank your for input.
I think that I am going to collect all your replies and mine into one
volume. Then, when the suitable opportunity (fruiful event) arises, I am
going to present it to the manager.
I think that during the seminar this manager also thought of empowering
the members of the organisation. That is the very reason why he organised
the seminar. But he did it in the sense that "efficient management" and
all what it entails will empower them. From them he expected to reply with
hard work and perseverance. When I now think of it, it is a kind of
robotic situation. Perhaps this is the reason why the organisation is
declining. (Last night during a meeting of its steering committee I
learned once again how serious the decline has become.) A robot is a
machine. Machines cannot heal themselves like living organisms can do.
The problem of this organisation go even deeper. Even when thinking of it
as a living organism, it is an old one showing all the wear and tear of a
long life. It has to become young once again.
