Warning... Strange Messages from learning-org@world.std.com LO30480

From: Richard Karash (Richard@karash.com)

I can tell that the current virus/worm W32/Sobig.f@MM is sending itself to
your computers in a message that appears to have come from
learning-org@world.std.com

Please be extraordinarily careful about messages that may carry this
virulent infection. This week I'm with a client whose world-wide network
was taken down because of the virus! Over 200 copies of the virus have
arrived in my incoming mail in the past 48 hours.

Valid messages from the learning-org list always...
  - have an LO1234 number in the subject line
  - appear to be "From:" the original author
  - have a header line "Sender: learning-org-approval@world.std.com"

About this current virus...
  - C/Net news article about this: http://news.com.com/2100-1002_3-5065494.html

  - Information on the virus, including the "Subject:" lines used by the virus:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sobig.f@mm.html

Good luck. Keep virus protection up to date. I advise you avoid MS Outlook
which is the medium in which this and other viruses propagate.
