I'm putting together an overview of knowledge management and have compiled
quite a bit of material on my own. At this point, I'd like to invite list
members to chime in. Answer the questions below and send them to me. I'll
post a summary to the list. Thanks...

1. What is knowledge management?

2. What are the seminal books and articles on the topic?

3. Who are the leading thinkers/gurus/experts/writers on the topic?

4. What companies might serve as "benchmarks" for knowledge management?

5. What technologies are being used to support knowledge management?

6. What are some of the "practical" applications of knowledge management
(i.e., how is knowledge management actually being used)?

7. What consulting companies specialize in helping clients establish
knowledge management programs?

8. If the president of a multi-billion corporation told you that he (or
she) would read any one book or article on knowledge management at
your recommendation, what would book or article would you recommend?

9. What are the listservers/discussion lists other than LO where
knowledge management is being discussed?

P.S. Rick: If the LO archives contain much of this material and you
can point me to them, I'll happily take a look.

[Host's Note: Unfortunately, I don't have a search facility that works
just within the boundaries of the LO archives... If anyone has specific
knowledge of tools for doing so, please let me know. For now, the best way
to search the LO archives is with one of the great search engines. In
AltaVista for example I'd use the search string

+"knowledge management" +learning-org

... Rick]
