Kevin, could you be a bit more specific to what kind of assistance you need?
Why does you're company want a Chief learning Officer?
Why chief LEARNING officer?
Are you looking for profiles?
For your information:
A friend of mine has recently accepted a job at McKinsey Europe as an
officer who is responsible for the professional and personal development
of their young consultants. He works like a kind of personal mentor or
tutor for these Young Unexperienced But Ambitious Professionals ( YUBAP's
:-) ) Why McKinsey took this step, I don't know, but it sure is a very
good idea. I have noticed that many young graduates have very educated
minds. But at the same time many of them show after a couple of years the
first signs of burnt out, and are exhausted. I think this is because their
inner, spirtual(?), emotional development doesn't hold track with the
heavy tasks they are faced with. In my practice as personal coach I meet
more and more managers and consultants as young as 30, with billion dollar
budget responsibillity who are strugling with typical midtlife crises
questions. it worries me!
Do other listmembers notice the same trend?
Please keep me informed!
