Replying to LO20170 --

Responding to Kevin Kehoe:

>I am conducting some research for my company on the role of Chief
>Learning Officer, and hoped you may be able to steer me in the right
>direction. I am an internal OD consultant, with responsibility for
>advising on learning and development strategies. I would value your
>assistance.

Davenport and Prusak do a reasonable job of describing CLO and CKO roles
in their book "Working Knowledge". For more in depth information, you
might scan current contributions to knowledge management web sites... I've
compiled a few favorites, which you might find useful. Linkage
(www.linkageinc.com) sponsored a conference for CLOs in September, so they
may be a good resource for you, too.
